They tell us history does not matter, because they know that the path to destroying the future is to change and destroy the past. As individuals or as a nation, our narrative of our own past and history is a path of entry into a different future.

The past does not go anywhere.
Because time is not a linear concept.
The blood of the past flows in the veins of our present, and the storms of the past can also break the saplings we plant for tomorrow.

The path to changing the future is discovering the past.

Storytellers know that time flows from past to future through every event and every page of a book. What we fear and hope for in the future is hidden in the past as well. To change the future, we must discover the hidden lines in the folds of the past.

If we cannot form a coherent narrative of our past, we will have no story to tell. And this past is not made of soil and bricks. It is not the history of empires and kings.

This past is made of thought, which in its evolution always carries the past into the future.

This is where our story has remained untold. This is where the future is hidden.
