Although illustration is not my profession, the image I see in the struggle of modern humanity against coronavirus is nothing other than a return of the myth of Sisyphus and his eternal punishment. Yet perhaps even within this painful futility a meaning can be found, and this is why I decided to draw the image you see.

The myths say that in the whole history of the world there is only one moment when Sisyphus stops pushing the rock and the rock itself does not roll back down. It is the moment when Sisyphus listens to the music of Orpheus—the lover who travels to the underworld to recover his beloved, or in another sense to recover his soul. It is the only moment when the futile and monotonous turning of the world comes to a halt.
