Our deepest fear is not our weakness or inadequacy. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond any measure. It is the light within us, not the darkness, that frightens us most.

Making yourself small within the role you have taken on in life will not serve the world. There is nothing of value in diminishing and belittling yourself merely so that other people may feel at ease beside you. We are all meant to shine, as children shine. We were born to embody the glory of God that exists within each of us. This light is not present only in some of us; it is in all of us, and by allowing ourselves to shine we unconsciously give others permission to shine with their own light as well.
When we are freed from our fear, our presence will also liberate others.
