Even witnessing the mourning of these wounded and bereaved people is, for me, evidence of a profound change in the thought and action of Iranian society today.

Martin Luther King is attributed here with a statement to the effect that what merely causes masses of people to move is a social uprising, whereas what leads to a profound change in the thought and conduct of a society’s people is a “revolution”.
