There are human beings whose death is only the falling of a blossom to the earth so that the fruit of their life may ripen upon the tree of history.

It is said that every artist’s farewell is their final work of art in their own age and history. Today, the one who embodied the rebirth of Iranian music and song, and was a link connecting us with the ancient and modern history of poetry in this land, rests beside another immortal figure who, a thousand years before him, gave new life to Iranian identity and language.

The eternal home of both will remain in the hearts of our people and in the historical memory of this land.
