Children begin reading in our arms, and with each book they experience an unknown journey into the extraordinary land of imagination.

Marilyn Adams, a researcher in children’s cognitive development, writes that reading books to children is the most important factor in developing their future capacity for reading.

But if you ask what books you should read to children, I will repeat a statement attributed to Albert Einstein:
If you want your children to have brilliant minds, read them fairy tales. If you want them to become even more intelligent and brilliant, read them still more fairy tales.
