As the Years Pass, We Reveal More of Our True Self

The years of our lives pass, and in the process of ageing we increasingly reveal our true self. The older we become, the more clearly the hidden characteristics of our personality emerge. For this reason, the final years of life are the most important and difficult, because we will eventually be compelled to confront our true self and everything from which we have fled and which we have hidden within ourselves over the years. This is a decisive struggle in the development of our individuation.
